5 Organization Hacks for Your Hair and Beauty Products

If you’re anything like us here at SYNKBIB headquarters, the change from winter to spring means both cleaning out the old…and making room for the new! The only problem is keeping it all organized.

So, in typical millennial fashion, we sent our team on the hunt to find the best organization tips, especially for beauty and hair products…and a bonus if these hacks accommodated small spaces. Our search, of course, led us to Pinterest, where there are so many ways to get organized.

We scoured the many pins to find some of the more common...and easy to implement ideas to pull them together in one blog post. The most important takeaways for getting organized is to take inventory and give everything a home. Before getting started, pull out everything you have and decide if you really need it or use it. Get rid of the things you don't use and give your "keeps" a home. If it has a home, it’s less likely to get lost or become part of the clutter that we often find lurking under our bathroom sinks and in our bathroom closets.

With that said, we've taken over 50 ideas and hacks and made a list of just 5 organization hacks that you can get done within a week or weekend!

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.

Do you have glass jars you would like to reuse? How about old candle holders than you can't just bring yourself to throw away? Well, these can turn into the perfect containers for your small hair and beauty items that tend to get lost. If you have old glass jars with lids, you can use those to keep hair pins, scrunchies, and clips. If you have candle holders, fill them up with decorative beads to keep your make-up brushes.

Don’t let your interior door space go to waste.

We often forget about using the door/cabinet space for storage, but it's a great hack to get more storage, especially for small spaces. One of the most common hacks we saw across pins, was to use a hanging shoe rack on the inside of the bathroom closet door to hold all of those products! Another tip was  to attach file holders to the inside of your bathroom vanity doors to hold things like brushes, flatirons or dryers.

Use clear organizers for under the sink.

In addition to making sure everything has a home, it's also important to make sure you know what's in that home, once you assign things to one place. The best way to do this is to use clear containers and/or labels. Clear containers allow you to easily see what's inside, making it easier for you to find what you need, especially if you're in a hurry. Some ideas included plastic storage boxes with lids, lazy Susan, and acrylic drawers.

Three Words: Dollar Tree Organizers!

We love a good budget-friendly hack, and there's no place that's more budget-friendly than Dollar Tree! Dollar Tree has a number of items that can help you get organized, including small bins for drawers, plastic containers in fun colors, hooks, labels and more! Not finding what you're looking for in your local store? You can also order items online!

Use a caddy for your everyday/go-to products.

One of our favorite hacks was keeping your everyday/go-to products in one place so that you can easily find them when you need them. One pin recommended using a bath or shower caddy to keep these items within reach. You know...the type of caddy you use to carry your soap, shampoo, toothbrush and other items to a community shower? Yes! Just put one of these in your space, fill it with your everyday or most-used items, and when you're ready, you have everything you need already in one place!

Happy cleaning and organizing!
